Khutruke is a simple online platform that helps you save with ease.

You can choose to save little amounts of money and lock away funds for a specified period of time. Khutruke helps you stop excessive spending by letting you easily keep funds away that you will not like to touch.

We take away the stress by combining simplicity, discipline, convenience, and flexibility to enable you to manage your finances better and achieve financial freedom.

The idea of the typical banking system and operations has evolved with time and we are in the era of a major disruption with the advancement of fintech. So, are we a bank ? No, we are not technically a bank. But we work with money though.

Khutruke is suitable for anyone who:

  • never want to miss their saving and investment goals again.
  • wants to save and invest even while they are asleep.
  • wants the discipline to keep their savings and investments for a long period of time without tampering with them.

You can start your saving plans with as low as रु. 1 (One Rupee only). We do not have an upper limit. You have thousands of Rupee you want to save with us? Please go ahead.

PS: You can always increase your savings at any time.

To start saving on Khutruke:

1. Visit the website to create an account.
2. Set up your savings details by choosing your preferred saving plan.
3. Make your first deposit through any of the available payment options and provide the payment details to activate your account.
4. Once the deposit has been received and verified – You must be able to view your savings and deposit details in your Khutruke profile.

To open an account, you must be at least 13 years of age and have valid phone number and a email. You must also be a Nepali citizen. Most importantly, You will need a invitation code to join.

After you register to Khutruke – you need to sign up for a saving plan. Once you sign up for the savig plan – You will be provided with available payment methods including multiple money wallet (eSewa, Khalti, IMEPay and such) and bank deposits too.

PS: You need to inform Khutruke team once the payment is made. Refer to Contact page for details.

Once you make the payment and inform the Khutruke team about it – the deposit is verified and posted to your account. Your saving dashboard will be active thereafter.

No, everything is done automatically once you have set up your first saving plan, except you want to add the saving amount in your current plan.

To keep track, all deposit transaction on your saving plan will be visible on your dashboard [My account > Deposits].

Yes, you can increase the amount you’re saving at anytime. Simply login and visit the deposits section in your dashboard and follow the insturctions to add the deposit amount.

Currently, We only have Fixed Deposit Saving Plans. But trust me – Our Fixed Deposit plans are flexible enough to accomodate your Saving Goals.

Every Rupee count, so you can save as much as you wish for any of your future goals – be it Vehicle Plan or a Vacation Plan. You have the flexibility to increase your deposit in current saving at any moment or choose to signup for another saving plan too.

There is a minimum duration of 360 days (on platinum plan) and no maximum time limit. You can keep your savings and investment with us for as long as you wish. We make everyday count by making your plans earn returns daily.

Our rates are drawn from the risk free investments that we help you invest in. Before you create a plan, we’ll show you the prevailing rate and how much you stand to earn. Here’s a little secret, it’s always going to be better than your bank’s savings rate.

You get up to 11% interest saving with Khutruke depending on how long and how much you are saving. Refer to the Savings page for more.

For every plan created on Khutruke, there is a maturity period assigned to it. For each maturity period range, there is an attached interest rate. Remember, we make everyday count by making your savings earn returns daily. This is done by calculating the annual interest rate attached to your plan.

We use the annual compound interest method to calculate the interest on your savings. Interest will be calculated based upon the month’s lowest account balance and will be credited on the monthly basis, at the end of every month.

Your plans start to earn returns the following day after you begin saving on Khutruke and on monthly basis thereafter. Your monthly returns are credited to your Khutruke account by the end of each month.

This is simple. We do not have the high-cost like that of traditional banks. Our operations are low, driven by our web technology. We invest our customers’ funds in risk-free investment opportunities in partnership with finance and co-operatives of Nepal. These cost savings are passed to our customers in the form of higher returns.

Absolutely. Our dashboard was designed with this objective in mind. You can monitor the progess on your savings on our easy-to-understand dashboard. On the dashboard, you can view the following:

My Savings: Details of your saving plan. Active / Matured refers to the current state of your saving.

Deposits: You can view your deposit transactions here.

Add Deposits: You can add your deposit to your savings at anytime.

Account Statement is be requested from the customer’s end as of now.

You can only withdraw at the set maturity date. You can choose to withdraw some or all of your savings together with interests. You can decide to rollover the plan for another period or withdraw part or whole.

Before few days of the maturity date of your savings, YOU will be notified about the expiry with the option to withdraw or renew your saving amount. Once the request has been made, funds would be sent to your bank account or any of your preferred mobile wallets (eSewa, khalti, and such). Your funds will be transferred to your set account within the desired time (not more than one working day)**.

** Public holiday or bank holiday might slightly affect the transfer. During such unfortunate times, you will be notified about the situation from our Support Team.

The minimum amount you can withdraw is the total amount from your Khutruke Savings. There is NO maximum limit. You can withdraw all of your funds if you want.

However, the savings has to be matured.

You can only withdraw when your Savings Goal is matured.

Khutruke is completely free. There are no hidden charges. Saving is absolutely free.

No! it’s completely FREE – Zero fund transfer fees, Zero account maintenance fees.

There are no any charges for transferring money to and from your Khutruke account.

All financial information is encrypted and stored offline.  Additionally, all transmission to our banking partner and on our site is via an encrypted 256-bit HTTPS SSL connection. 

Since all our savings are based on fixed deposit model. Your investment (saving) is 100% risk free. When and how much return you are going to get is pretty much fixed from the beginning. Well, that’s the beauty of fixed deposits, isn’t it.

Khutruke was built with the security of your personal data in mind. We do not collect/store any of your banking information – once the transfer is DONE – all of your data is GONE. We only store your name and your contact info in our database.

By logging in you can edit your personal information from the “Edit Profile” section.

When all of your saving plans have matured – if  you’d like to close your Khutruke Account — please contact our Khutruke Support Team from the contact page. All of your personal information will be erased from our database thereafter.
